Effective date: January 7, 2023
Keeping your information secure and ensuring your understanding of how we use that information is important to us. We use your data to provide better services to our customers and improve our business.
Information We Collect
We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you place an order with Ligatum through a sales representative, on our websites, and through third party platforms. Data is also collected when you express an interest in obtaining information about us or our products and when you sign up for marketing communications.
We automatically collect certain information when you visit our websites. This information does not reveal your specific identity, but may include device and usage information. This information is primarily used to maintain the security and operation of our websites, and for our internal analytics and reporting purposes.
Usage of Personal Information
We use personal information collected for purposes based on legitimate business interests in order to enter into a contract with you, with your consent, and/or for compliance with our legal obligations. This includes facilitating account creation and the login process. If you choose to link your account to a third-party account (such as your Google or Facebook account), we use the information you allowed us to collect from those third parties.
We use personal information to send product and service details and/or changes to terms, conditions, and policies. We use personal information to fulfill and manage orders, payments, returns, and exchanges. We use personal information to send marketing and promotional communications and for other business purposes, such as data analysis, and to evaluate and improve our products and your experience.
Sharing Personal Information
We only share information with your consent: to comply with laws, to provide you with services, to protect your rights, or to fulfill business obligations. We share data with third-party vendors, service providers, contractors and/or agents who perform services for us or on our behalf and require access to such information to do that work. Examples include: payment processing, data analysis, email delivery, hosting services, customer service, and marketing efforts. Unless described in this notice, we do not share, sell, rent or trade any of your information with third parties for their promotional purposes.
Safety of Personal Information
We have implemented security measures to protect the security of any personal information we process. However, despite our safeguards and efforts to secure information, no electronic transmission can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so we cannot promise or guarantee that hackers, cybercriminals, or other unauthorized third parties will not be able to defeat our security and improperly collect, access, steal, or modify information. Although we do our best to protect personal information, transmission of data is your own risk. You should only access and use our websites and third-party platforms within a secure environment.
Privacy Rights
If you would like to review or change the information in your account or terminate your account, you can contact us. Upon your request to terminate your account, we will deactivate or delete your account and information from our active databases. However, we may retain some information in our files to prevent fraud, troubleshoot problems, assist with any investigations, enforce our Terms of Use and/or comply with applicable legal requirements.
You can unsubscribe from our marketing email list by clicking on the unsubscribe link in our emails or by contacting us. You will then be removed from the marketing email list. However, we may still communicate with you, for example to send you service-related emails that are necessary for the administration and use of your account, to respond to service requests, or for other non-marketing purposes.
Applicable Law
We are committed to protecting your personal information and the rights set out in this Policy reflect your rights under applicable laws.
Applicable laws for the purpose of this Policy means: (a) the Data Protection Act 2018 and the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2013; (b) General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) (“GDPR”) until such time as it might cease to apply in the UK; and (c) to the extent applicable, any legislation ratifying or otherwise adopting the GDPR in the UK, and any applicable associated or supplementary data protection laws or regulations.
We recognize that as an international business, some of our customers are resident in jurisdictions other than England and Wales. In certain circumstances, local laws of these jurisdictions, may by way of their application, afford rights to a customer in respect of the personal data that they provide to us. We anticipate that the rights set out in this Policy also provide you with such protection in relation to your personal information.
